Krókurinn

This is the go-to fly for many many experienced anglers in Iceland. Krókurinn is considered one of the most prolific Icelandic nymphs, in my eyes surely the most. This nymph pattern created by noted fly tier Gylfi Kristjánsson emulates an hatching Chironomidae. It has become one of the most popular patterns for Arctic Char and trout in the last 20 years for its well known productivity.
