HAUGUR - 12 mm Copper Tube

This fly is an absolute winner in Iceland salmon rivers and it's well known for its simplicity and effectiveness. The "Haugur" is an original Icelandic pattern "recently" designed from the local angler and well known fly tyer Sigurður "Siggi" Héðinn or "Siggi Haugur". If you are in Reykjavik, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit his Fly Shop, not really cheapest to be honest, but it's surely the most authentic in town. The fly has gained international recognition and today it’s one of the most popular patterns for Atlantic salmon. This Variant is our biggest version and it's tied on a 12 mm Copper tube, we have also substituted the bucktail wings with less rigid squirrel fibers to gain more vitality.
